Milky Chance Returns: German Indie-Pop Sensations’ Epic Comeback Tour to South Africa!

Milky Chance, the German indie-pop sensations, are giddy with excitement as they gear up for their triumphant return to South Africa. And guess what? Their upcoming tour comes with an extra surprise twist! “We’ve been itching to get back to SA—it’s been too long! Last time was just magical in so many ways, and the love we received was unreal,” divulges Philipp Dausch from the band. “We’ve cooked up loads of fresh tunes since our last visit and have really blossomed into the live band we’ve always dreamt of. We’re itching to rock the house for our SA fans!”

Hailing from Kassel, Germany, childhood pals Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch birthed Milky Chance into existence. Their rise to stardom ignited with the folk/electronic sensation ‘Stolen Dance’, soaring to the top of charts, bagging multiple platinum certifications worldwide, and earning its spot as one of Shazam’s all-time favorites.

Catch their electrifying performance at Green Point Track, Cape Town, on Sunday, 17 February, from 11 am to 7 pm. Milky Chance acknowledges it’s been way too long since they graced South African soil back in 2015, and they’re ready to make up for lost time.

These musical maestros, spanning four album releases, have captivated a colossal global fanbase. Going independent in 2021, they’ve mastered the ever-turbulent music industry and amassed an awe-inspiring tour diary—from Coachella and Reading & Leeds to Lollapalooza—winning hearts from the US, Canada, and Mexico to the EU, Australia, and beyond.

Their latest album, dropped in June 2023 via their own Muggelig Records, has already amassed a whopping 500 million streams! Tracks like ‘Colorado’, ‘Synchronize’, and ‘Living In A Haze’ are causing seismic waves in the music realm.

Tune in as Rob Forbes and Rozanne McKenzie sit down with Clemens and Philipp to dish about their highly anticipated comeback to SA and why snagging those tickets pronto is an absolute must!
