Despite the game’s expansive open-world environment teeming with hidden references and secrets, this particular Easter egg managed to evade detection until now, patiently waiting for players to uncover its clandestine existence.
Shared by Twitter user @crushovitz_b, the Easter egg is ingeniously concealed within the version number displayed in the top right corner of the main menu. By clicking on the number, which alternates between various symbols and digits, players are treated to a sequence that ultimately unfolds into the cryptic combination of “2.0.77.”
In response to the discovery, game director Paweł Sasko expressed his admiration, acknowledging the subtlety of the Easter egg’s concealment. “Good find, I started to doubt you chooms will ever find it!” tweeted Sasko. “Was hidden way too well.”
While the exact timing of CD Projekt Red’s inclusion of this hidden gem remains unclear, it’s speculated to have been stealthily introduced alongside a recent patch.
