Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 Teases Return of PDS Field Upgrade

Call of Duty: Warzone has teased the return of the Personal Decontamination Station (PDS) Field Upgrade in its upcoming Season 2. The PDS Field Upgrade, absent since 2022, is known for providing players with a potent tool to shield themselves from gas damage. While the exact release date for the PDS’s return is not specified, it is expected to make a comeback “later into the season.”

The PDS, or Personal Decontamination Station, creates a protective bubble of clean air upon deployment, shielding players from gas damage and its associated visual effects for a duration of 13 seconds. However, both the protective bubble and the station itself can be destroyed by enemies.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone, set to launch on February 7, promises more than just the return of the PDS. The game also hints at the reappearance of the Fortune’s Keep map during Season 2. While the release date for this addition is yet to be disclosed, the Fortune’s Keep map’s return seems highly likely during the course of Season 2.

Additionally, another map, Rebirth Island, is confirmed to return to Warzone later in 2024, adding to the anticipation among players. The Season 2 crossover event with The Walking Dead is another highlight, although it remains unclear whether the collaboration will introduce any new features to Warzone. The Walking Dead crossover is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the game, providing players with exciting content beyond the return of classic features.
