Benelli Unveils All-New BKX300 Adventure Bike Aimed at Young Riders

  • Introduction of BKX300: Benelli has launched the all-new BKX300, an adventure bike designed for young riders. The BKX300 is part of Benelli’s lineup, developed and styled at the Benelli Style Center in Pesaro, Italy, and built in China by QJMotor, which acquired Benelli in 2005.
  • Design and Styling: The BKX300 features a design with “simple, clean yet refined” lines. It incorporates an LED headlamp with daytime riding lights, and the rear is equipped with a combined unit for parking, stop, and indicator lights. The design emphasizes a visually appealing and functional approach.
  • Engine Specifications: Powering the BKX300 is a 292.4cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke single-cylinder engine. This engine, an evolution of the 249cc unit found in the Italian market TRK 251 and Leoncino 250, is Euro5+ compliant. It features a new exhaust and slipper clutch, producing 29.2bhp at 9000rpm and 18.1lb.ft of torque at 7000rpm. The engine is A2 license compliant.
  • Chassis and Suspension: Both BKX300 and BKX300S variants share a steel double cradle frame. The front suspension consists of 41mm inverted forks with a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, providing 180mm of travel. The adventure variant has alloy-rimmed wire wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear), while the BKX300S has cast alloy 17-inchers.
  • Braking System: The BKX300 features a front 280mm disc with a four-piston caliper for braking. The adventure variant is equipped with alloy-rimmed wire wheels and off-road-oriented tires.
  • Expected Availability: Both the BKX300 and BKX300S are expected to be available later in 2024. The models aim to offer a combination of approachable performance, adventure styling, and competitive pricing, particularly targeting younger riders.
  • Additional Variants: In addition to the 292.4cc version, Benelli is expected to offer 125cc and 250cc versions of the BKX for specific markets.

Conclusion: The Benelli BKX300 introduces a new adventure bike into the market, specifically targeting young riders with its easy and light manners, competitive specifications, and likely affordable pricing. The bike’s design elements, performance features, and the inclusion of adventure-oriented components make it a notable addition to the adventure bike segment. As Benelli expands its offerings, the BKX300 aims to cater to riders seeking an accessible and adventure-ready option.
