Zontes Unveils ZT-703F Adventure Bike Prototype with 699cc Engine
Zontes Motorcycles has revealed a prototype of the ZT-703F adventure bike, expected to be launched by the end of the year. The ZT-703F is part of Zontes’ move beyond its traditional range of 125-350cc budget-friendly motorcycles. Alongside the adventure bike, Zontes will also introduce a sports sibling, the ZT-703RR.
Key Features:
- Engine: The ZT-703F features an all-new, liquid-cooled 699cc triple engine, marking a departure from Zontes’ smaller-displacement models.
- Power and Torque: Zontes claims a peak power of 100bhp at 9000rpm and torque of 63lbft at 7200rpm for the ZT-703F. The sports-oriented ZT-703RR is expected to have a slightly higher state of tune with 110bhp at 11,000rpm and peak torque of 55lbft at 8600rpm. Both versions are Euro5+ compliant.
- Chassis: The frame appears to be a cast alloy twin-spar with a matching cast alloy swingarm.
- Suspension: The ZT-703F is equipped with inverted front forks and an adjustable monoshock at the rear.
- Brakes: Front brakes consist of twin discs gripped by Brembo four-piston, radially mounted calipers.
- Wheels: Alloy-rimmed cross-spoke wire wheels are fitted, allowing for tubeless tires, with diameters likely to be 19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear.
- Electronics: The bike features a TFT dash, riding modes, traction control, heated grips, and an electrically adjustable screen. Further details on the electronics suite are yet to be revealed.
- Design: The ZT-703F prototype showcases smart and sharply styled bodywork, including crash protection, panniers, and a centrestand.
While specific pricing details are not available, Zontes is known for offering affordable motorcycles. If the production version maintains an attractive price point, it could pose a competitive challenge in the market. The ZT-703F and its sports-oriented counterpart, the ZT-703RR, aim to expand Zontes’ presence in the adventure and sports motorcycle segments.
